Accommodation



The château is entered through an imposing medieval door. Access to the living-room and dining room is off the elegant hall.

The living-room is large (53.6 sq m), running the length of the house. At one end is a traditional French fireplace with a wood burning stove available for use all year round. There is a Hi-fi system that includes a CD player and I-pod connection at this end of the salon . At the other end is a separate seating area with satellite TV, DVD player and a large DVD library. French windows allow access to the south facing patio. Here you can spend the early evening relaxing, watching the sun set behind the mountains.

The dining room has a large central table and French windows providing access to the south facing patio. An additional table can be added to increase the seating.

Just off the dining room is a small office housed in the circular tower. A computer is available for guests with Broadband internet access.

A kitchen with a large gas stove, sink, storage space and dishwasher is adjacent to the dining room. The east facing patio leads directly from the kitchen to the swimming pool..

Beyond is a large utility room containing 2 large fridges, a deep freeze, micro wave and a washing machine. There is an adjoining WC.

Bedrooms. The chateau is of square construction and the bedrooms on two floors are of a very similar size and construction with access from a central landing. The bedrooms are large and six of them have spacious en suite bathrooms. The other two have connecting doors to adjacent suites and so are ideal for children or close family members. Seven of the bedrooms have primitive 19th century murals over their entrance doors.

There are fine views over the surrounding countryside.

Bedroom1 is 5.3m x 5.8m. It contains a super king size bed with bedside tables and lamps, a stone fireplace, a chest of drawers and a large cupboard. It has views from the large window of the valley and hills beyond. There is a large en suite bathroom set in one of the chateau towers with twin basins, toilet and bath with shower attachment.

Bedroom2 is 4.8m x 5.8m contains a double bed with bedside tables and lamps, a chest of drawers and a cupboard. There is an ensuite bathroom with bath, basin and toilet.

 

Bedroom3 is 5.0m x 5.8m. It contains a king size bed with bedside tables and lamps, a chest of drawers and a large cupboard. There is an en suite bathroom in one of the chateau towers.

Bedroom4 is 5.8m x 4.9m. It contains 2 single beds, a cupboard and chest of drawers. It has a connecting door to bedroom 3, ideal for children or close family members.

Identical accommodation is on the floor above (Bedrooms 5 – 8)

All bed linen and towels are provided for guests.

The Attic apartment (self-contained)
This is not normally hired out unless by special arrangement.
It is an open plan room of 155sq metres with a kitchen area, sleeping area and a bathroom in one of the chateau towers.
