Driving down through France is relaxed due to the excellent Autoroute system which means that only the last 40 minutes of the journey has to be driven on non-motorway roads. From the ports of Calais and Boulogne sur Mer the journey is about 10hours 30 minutes.

Toulouse is 1 hour 45 minutes from Chateau de Belcaire
Carcassonne is 1 hour 15 minutes from the Chateau.
Perpignan is 1 hour 40 minutes from the Chateau.

Directions from Toulouse:
Leave the airport in the direction of Toulouse.
Follow the blue signs for Montpellier and the A61.
Take the A61 south of Toulouse then follow the A66 for Foix. After the A66 peage exit continue on the N20 through the Foix tunnel.
Take the 2nd turn off after the tunnel on the D117 for Lavalanet. Continue straight on for Belesta. Turn right at Belesta up the hill to Belcaire. Turn right on the Pays de Sault for Belcaire.
When reaching Belcaire take left turn opposite the small supermarket towards La Poste. The drive to the Chateau is 100 metres on right.

Directions from Perpignan:
Leave the airport. At the roundabout before the autoroute take the turning left signposted Foix on the D117 towards Quillan.
At 2nd traffic lights in Quillan take left turn up hill on the D613 signposted Belcaire.
Follow signposts for Belcaire (2 left turns)
When reaching Belcaire take left turn opposite the small supermarket towards La Poste. The drive to the Chateau is 100 metres on right.

Directions from Carcassonne:
Follow the signs for Limoux on the D118.
Continue for Quillan.
At 1st traffic lights take turning right up hill signposted Belcaire.
Follow signposts for Belcaire (2 left turns).
When reaching Belcaire take left turn opposite the small supermarket towards La Poste. The drive to the Chateau is 100 metres on right.
